Wandle Wilde Linen, Fire

A fresh, free and oversized homage to Arthur Liberty, who a century ago, created the sort of dense repeating floral prints that continue to feel intrinsically British today. This is exactly the kind of pattern I lover using at home; full of movement yet very versatile, it feels both contemporary and classic.

Arthur didn't name the designers he employed. So instead Sophie named this print after the river Wandle where both Liberty and William Morris had their fabric mills for many years. And also for Oscar Wilde who said this lovely line: 

"Liberty is the chosen resort of the artistic shopper."
